INCOM archives on Sony 128 GB BD-R XL

INCOM signs partner contract with Sony for the direct purchase of 128 GB Blu-ray Recordables and distributes the discs in connection with archiving systems exclusively in Europe. The Bonn-based value-added distributor has already distributed the first CD-ROM drives and has remained true to long-term archiving on optical data carriers to this day and continues to develop them further like no other company worldwide.

The now 4th BD-R generation with 4 layers and a total storage capacity of 128GB can be written and read in almost all current Blu-ray recorders with the latest firmware. The BDXL can be written at 4x speed and printed with inkjet printers prepared for media printing.

INCOM distributes the storage media in combination with archiving systems, such as the StorEasy® WormAppliance or the HIT-Libraries, throughout Europe. "The first HIT NETZON HMS bare-media systems have already been delivered with the StorEasy® DataManager into the professional banking environment", reports Dirk Schmitz, sales manager of INCOM Storage GmbH.

Due to the special and high quality nature of the materials used, Sony specifies a shelf life of over 50 years for the write-once optical archive media, whereby they meet all compliance requirements and also protect the data stored on them from being altered by malware.

More information on media and storage systems can be obtained at the regular INCOM workshops or directly from your colleagues in sales.
